Hi! Our silkie was attacked by a hawk on Friday. The talons got her on the back of the neck, they have since scabbed over. She is eating, drinking, and pooping but cannot walk or stand. I think she now has wry neck. We are giving her chicken electrolytes, ibuprofen, vitamin e and selenium. Is it possible for her to actually recover and be able to walk again?

She needs B vitamins. Most people do not realize that wry neck can be caused by B1 deficiency and will treat with vitamin E/Selenium to no avail because they are missing the B1.

How is she doing? This happened approximately the same. Poor thing.
