Your Favorite/Least Favorite Incubators

Don't buy those bubble ones they are the worst. My best one was LG one that had a turner- it was foam, and I could put the eggs in till day 18 with the turner, and then remove the turner and add some water and we were good.

I have 2 foam ones now that are hand turn. I keep the LG nice and only heat up eggs in them. the FI one I hatch in. I have also heated them up ahead of time if I order chicks, if the chicks come to me cold, I pop the weaker chicks in incubator, to feel better, and also not get trampled.
What makes the Chick-U-Bator so bad? It’s a perfect small flock incubator.

I’ve heard if you put more than 2 eggs in the incubator the eggs won’t hatch. But the lady that owned it previously said she had 4 bantam eggs crammed in it and all hatched just fine.
I had a friend that hatched a few quail egg that came with the incubator. A very stable room temperature is the key as the bubble has no thermostat. I'm sure the thermometer it came with was not accurate as well. Seeing I was having no success my parents bought me one of the metel incubators of the time which was much better.

I’ve heard the metal ones can burn chicks feet if you’re not careful. I’ve never had it happen to me, but one of my friends had something that looks like this and it burned one of their chick’s feet.

I’ve never owned a Hova Bator and now I don’t think I ever will knowing that they are cheaply made and overpriced.
