Zilla the Pigeon...*new questions & pics*

So maybe I don't need to put the chicks on formula?

I think they are between 1 and 2 weeks old. So I wonder if the chick starter with water will be ok from this point on.

we got 2 birds from the pet store that they gave us,, they turned out to be "every day" pigeons,, lol, we fed them with a syringe, they got "exact baby bird food supplement" for a little over a week,, then they got chick start,, they stayed with our chickens,, till the day i had to stick my peafowl in there for a day ,, lol,, but EVERY morning they are in the yard waiting to be fed lol, and are not really that scared of us.

Awww!

I am so hoping I can keep these two alive and have them make it to adults.

I got them chick formula at the pet store today, so I will use that for awhile, at least til I know they are healthy and thriving. Then offer seeds and maybe some chick starter in a couple weeks, if they make it to that point.

Sounds like you're doing a good job...any pics?

yeah for parrots that makes sense but not for pigeons, i thkn that's just mean lol.

Agree as far as selling them to people without info on how to hand feed.

Hand feeding pigeons are not that hard. Just takes lots of time.

I let my son hand feed one of my homers when he was 10 yrs old.
That bird would ride on his shoulder to school, and fly home when he went in the school.

Not the greatest pics, too dark in the house and my camera has been taking really cruddy pics lately. Plus they are really spastic and won't sit still for pics. Will try to get better ones if/when/as they grow.

The two together. The one on the left has more feathers and is bigger.
