There are oodles and oodles of information on this site. From articles to reading threads that interest you in the various forums. I suggest starting by spending time reading the highest rated coop build articles (and the comments) to learn what makes a proper coop and design one for the flock you want to keep.

Then keep reading in the feeding and flock management forums to learn about chicken behaviors and nutritional needs that you never knew about. A few hours in the ER forum will give you an idea of issues to be on the lookout for.

Good luck and have a great time. Chicken keeping is a very fun and fulfilling pastime.
