Well aside from being a vet or zookeeper as a kid, the one field I seriously considered in my teens was forensic pathologist or mortician.
Ultimately forensic pathology would require me to work occasionally with decaying bodies and I'm not too keen on being elbow deep in rotting corpse, and being a mortician doesn't pay nearly enough.
