Just got this gal after someone advertised online about needing to rehome her as her flockmates died, first the rooster and then her hen-friend. Looks to be a polish cross?
Tinny has scaley leg mites from the looks of it and a bit of a wheeze to her breathing, so she had a bath with Johnson's baby shampoo, followed by an exfoliating foot scrub, got weighed and had some antibiotics added to her water. Gonna buy vaseline on my next trip out shopping for her feet.
Other than the wheeze and leg mites issue, she is a curious and active hen of good weight and has been preening, eating, drinking and pooping fine. She also loves hiding her head in my nightgown.
