Old time wisdom or chicken killer?????

They are when they are green, but if they are dried it isn't to bad. The biggest problem is messing with them when there is dew on them and you can get nicotine poisoning.
 
It is also highly poisonous to chickens and you would not want them pecking at it so if you choose to use them for lining the nest boxes, be sure to put ample nesting material on top of it...
