My 2 week old ducklings were quickly out growing their brooder, so I decided to move them out to their coop. The weather has been really warm, so I haven't been using the heat lamp during the day.
But now suddenly they are all panting in the coop...is this stress from being moved? Will it just take them a bit to get comfortable?
Thanks!

They pant when they are too hot. Try putting some shading in there for them to escape to and leave water out constantly. You can add an electrolyte powder to the water that will help them deal better. It comes in packets like yeast does. Hope that helps :)

Yes they have plenty of water. It was in the 80s and muggy yesterday..but the brooder was on my back porch, so the temp wasn't different..just a new place??
They calmed down by evening and were no longer panting..but the poor dears, we had crazy thunderstorms last night and lost power. Their heat lamp went out around 3am..it's in the 70's (last night and this am) and they seem chipper
Just a tough start to living in the coop :(
