This is my first time with BCM and I only have one so nothing to compare exactly. S/he is very shy but the legs and comb/wattle got me leaning towards male. When s/he hatched the comb and wattle were about the same size as now but they were yellow now s/he’s sporting a very fleshy pink color. I tried to get a good picture but it looks redder than IRL. S/he also has grey on her/is wing tips but the rest of the feathers are black. I know it’s still early but the suspense is killing me 😂 will update as weeks go by.

Ok so only yellow means female in BCM? Because like I said it’s nowhere near red it’s a very light pink similar to how my black australorp’s comb was at this age but slightly bigger than her’s was.

Not necessarily.
If the combs are still flesh colored as they grow older, then they are probably pullets.
But there are also slow maturing males, which can throw things off.
Ok. Ya I’m definitely still going to be keeping an eye on this one. I hatched five. 2 double silver laced barnevelders 2 moss eggers but only one BCM so I’m paying special attention 😂
