    So excited that yesterday afternoon I was surprised with two eggs in the nesting boxes. Our chickens are now 18 weeks old. I was nervous about how the first eggs would come. Well, they were laid exactly where they should be and the shells were hard. So now we are pleased and just waiting for the rest of our girls to produce. As newbies, we are so excited.

    Well, it's past a year since we started raising chickens and our chicken math is crazy. We are now into our third batch of chicks and have 27 chickens. We keep saying this is it but by now we realize our chicken math is neverending. I never thought raising chickens would be such an addiction.
