I really liked them, beautiful birds, good temperament, and the eggs were really good sellers. I just needed to empty a pen for another breed, and they were the easiest to sell at the moment. I’m still considering incubating the last group of eggs they laid. A few of my girls were running with...

Yes there sure is! You can set it for whatever day you want. It counts down, and the turner automatically stops when it gets to 3 days left. So even if you put in eggs already started in another bator or under a broody, you can set the day number.

Chris, if you really consider that humongous cabinet, think about the electric cost to run it too. I had a hospital grade food cart, big as a refrigerator (the ones hospitals deliver meals to patients in) and it had all the humidity stuff too (technically it was for raising bread too) and it...

@Miss Lydia I’m keeping the 2 d’Uccle, but I’ll send you the cochins. :D One had happy feet all day yesterday and couldn’t get her fat butt on top of her legs, but she figured it out overnight. And I guess my ducklings will be March 1st babies. One is very close, but has a little left to...

I think these silly goat babies are worse than any puppy or even hooman toddler at getting into anything and everything. Then they look at you like “who, me??”

These are my first 2! I'm loving them too. My husband's family had goats when he was little, my SIL has had quite a few over the past few years too. I already feel like I'll end up with a few more :D

Hey, don’t talk about my Mr.Lydia that way. I wondered how those chairs have survived! :gig How many goats do you have?

I bent down to wipe up some poop, and he jumped on my back and started chewing my hair.

Haha! My ducks are still scared of the goat kids. They are curious, but so far, they still aren’t sure about them. 3 of the girls have gotten close, but then they fly back across the yard to escape the new beasts!

As you well know, there are many types of glaze. Which should the SOP be based on?

Is this chick from my eggs? I only hatched one frizzle all season, and it was male. :( It’s much easier to compare them to each other, to tell gender. But usually my girls feather out faster than the boys. The boys combs seem to pop out overnight, and become obvious. I still have a few that I’m...

sorry, I’m behind. :hide You’ve got some black mottled, blue mottled and some splash. Usually (but not always) the girls feather in faster, their wings get long sooner than the boys. Once those start, you will easily see the curl if they are frizzled, I think it’s maybe 3 weeks or so.

Awww shucks. You all make me feel so special. :hugs By the way, my 2 little call ducklings are doing well now. Took them an extra day to perk up, but they are running around crazy now.

I’m so proud you had a great hatch! :love and the CL is definitely female. :P (You can still eat her. They probably get a bit plumper than the males anyway. Or she should definitely sell easier)

nice color assortment! The black ones are definitely mottled. Actually they probably all are. The lightest colored ones are splash, and you might have a couple blues in there too. :clap and yes, the CL looks female! :yesss:
