So getting chickens you want to learn about accessories like the roosting posts and the flooring and bedding well these are not exactly accessories they are needs. You may have heard somewhere that it is required to use a certain wood for roosting posts but actually the best roosting posts that you need for chickens is just natural sticks that you can screw into wooden walls or or secure in to chicken wire. it's really that easy just go outside and get a stick that is wide and nice and round just secure it however you need depending on your flock and your Coop you can place it wherever you want. Now that we have that covered I am going to cover the fact of bedding and flooring have you ever wondered if there was maybe a better way to have your run than just on the dirt well there is have you ever heard of something called free-ranging well I have a sort of way that makes sure that they get the grubs they need but they're poop and run stays completely clean. I used flat stones and I put them down in the roost and put some nice hair on top that run allowed them to run around in the coop but it didn't supply the worms and vegetables and leaves that they needed so what I do now is I just let them out everyday for about an hour a day and watch them for the whole hour the only reason I will watch them is because we have a family of hawks nesting them and we're worried about them catching them you can do this too or you can go inside and watch them with a security camera. I will have photos of my coops run below 20201027_164418.jpg 20201027_164418.jpg 20201027_164418.jpg 20201027_164430.jpg
