Hi In the last few months I've lost three of my red sexlinks. Had the last two autopsied. Peritonitis is the diagnosis on one and bacterial infection and low grade ecoli found on the other (same symptoms before death) and they are doing further cultures to try to find out more. I was originally...

I have two yr olds and one year olds, flock of 15. A few of them have lost feathers and have bright red skin, mostly in the butt and back area. I've checked and dusted for mites (they had them a few months ago, but I've not seen them since dusting.) I can't seem to find anything on this...

HELP! 6 day old chick got smothered!

I am using a heat lamp but I didn't put a thermometer in and I had the heat lamp too high. I have since put a thermometer in and it's currently 93 but some of them are spreading their wings out, which I thought meant they were too warm? Ugh. I feel so bad :-(

She died :-( I feel so terrible, I know this is my fault for not making sure they weren't piling up again.

Any advice?? Baby got smothered, I have 20 new chicks, and they sleep in a pile for some reason. We found this one at the bottom this morning, not moving and limp. She is breathing, but is there anything I can do??? Please help if you can! Thanks :(

Our speckled Sussex rooster 1 yr old, just suddenly died. No reason that we could tell. :( We noticed this morning that he had dried blood on his comb. We have never seen him fight with our other rooster, so I can't think of what could cause this. Over the winter he lost most of his comb from...
