One of the most prolific layer is the Khaki Campbell. I don't believe they outlay the 300 hybrids, but they are a very good general purpose duck and average 250 or so eggs per hen per year. I don't have any old enough to be laying yet as I acquired eggs for hatching this spring. I got them...
I've had 29 hatch so far today. No idea which one was first. I was busy putting cold weather plants into the garden and starting the seeds in the greenhouse for my mid-May frost free plantings.Just checked the incubator about 8:45 PM. Moved them to two toats in the kitchen. More later I hope.
Go to the FORUM tab at the top of the page. place your cursor on the tab and a drop down menu will appear, the last item is "Buy - Sell - Trade". Click on it and the BST listings will appear on a new page. Be careful though that page is infected with chicken math also. I bought 6 or 8 dozen...
Interesting information. However the blue eggs laid by Araucanas have the color in the shell material. Unlike other chicken eggs that are white on the inside they are blue on the inside also.
I just set 51 eggs between 11:56 AM and 12:04 P I'm in this thing for sure. I set: 5 Araucana, 10 Speckled Sussex, 4 Barnevelders, 1 Marans, 1 Wellsummer, and 30 barnyard mix ( mostly feather footed bantam, Silkie, Cochins & MFdeU). Hurry up hatchday.
think they will hold around 280 chicken eggs all total. I have three 3' X 4' and one 4' X 4' brooder boxes in the barn. If had enoough eggs to load them all at the same time, any thing over a 70% hatch rate would cause me to have to build another brooder. Wouldn't that be a shame.
Just a small point, medicare is paid for by the person receiving the care, currently almost $100.00 per month deducted from their Social Security check. Medicaid is the welfare version of Medicare
Oh by the way you have to be 65 years old to qualify for Medicare. That is why only senior...
I have 3 LGs with fan & turner, 1 additional LG with fan I use for lockdown. I also have a Sportsman 1202 it has 3 turner trays and 1 hatching tray. I have to keep a journal to keep myself straight. lt is a 3 ring binder with lined paper pages ( like school kids used to use). I think I might be...
