    Permethrin spray

You can make it stronger or really soak the coops to get enough on the roost.

Reading on beesource from some of the master mead makers one said a kinda fresh batch was some of the worst he had. Shoved to the back and forgot about for 5+ years was later an excellent tasting and smooth mead after aging longer. I guess you can try a bottle every year until it's...

Howdy And no. I did several batches of incubating this year just to have some more/enough hens for me. I still have to eat a few more of my roo's.

    Frying pan specials

A higher protein, game bird starter/grower crumble could help with a little more weight at a younger age and could help with health of a lot of your larger breeds. I keep saying I'm going to switch but...

Easter egger. Lays green or green/blue eggs. Not a true ameracana or aracana (no I didn't check the spelling first. the point is the same). Just a loose word for that type of breed but not being a true pure breed.

Doing well. Instead of making my own salt electrolyte mix for them I've been adding a small amount of Gatorade mix into the water. Enough for a 12 oz bottle to a gallon of water.

    The aseel thread!!!

I've been reading this thread and I admit I skipped 20 pages in the middle. I have dark cornish and was thinking of switching to a game type bird for better broodiness and ability to protect themselves from predators, although anything is gone when something gets in the coop at night. I don't...

Apis m pretty well covered it. Short story. Years ago they started foundation with 'larger' cell size to make bigger bee's (closer to drone size) to make bigger bee's to carry more nectar/pollen back. In such making it easier for mites.

We (really she while I'm In Blthyville) fired up the Incubator last week. I need another broody box like my good one. I should probably start another round soon after those hatch out. I'm going to go out on a limb and say we're not incubating as many as you. I lost a couple of broody hens over...

We had 1 tree bloom about 6 weeks ago. I guess I should've posted then, but I wasn't posting anything then. We are getting a decent amount of dandelions for the last month and several other early flowers are blooming nicely now. I planted about an acre of buckwheat a few weeks ago, just as...
