Yep…the tail feathers are what I don’t like here and what made me start thinking cockerel.

Gotcha. In general, for barred birds....does coloring usually indicate sex? Like how the barred rock hens are more black and the roos more white and gray I think it is.

When do they usually start crowing?

I could be a little off....it could be 9 weeks. I was thinking it was a lot too. My barred rock had a full red comb and wattles by like 6 weeks, so I was hoping this one was not going that route 😒
