Awww! I have two black frizzle babies that are around the same age as Popcorn here! Like Overo Mare said; hard to tell gender, you'll be more sure in a few weeks but he/she is adorable and I love the little white tips on their wings!

It's dependent but cochins are known as a broody breed so they'll most likely be broody often; mine while not the broodiest of the flock was defintally frequently broody. That was a lot of broody:rolleyes:

Yes there are mottled frizzles but I have two solid black drizzled right now at basically the same age as your little guy and they look the same; mine have some white on the face, wings, chest etc, so yours could quite possibly be solid black as well. Guess we'll have to wait and see!

@Whitepines I too would say self blue. If the new chicks were of the same breeding variety wise I'm not too certain however if they have a slightly different mix of variety maybe as chicks they look different but will mature to look the same?
