thank you Walt..this has been bothering me.. adding birds that were never a foundation breed.. i have seen a few around and really struggled to figure out what it was supposed to be..everything about it was wrong..i think it was a maran cross.and they were showing it..nice looking bird..it just...
boy he sure is..one of the best human beings out there....he helped me out, then helped our freind matt out..gave him a whole coop he was disassembeling..and some proper size cages for orps..and i gave matt some birds..bob would give you the shirt off his back..works like crazy getting those...
they were created from blk orp, leghorn, langshan and one more thing i think..real good looking birds when they are well bred..real dogs when they arnt..yep they have meets for them over here..they come out of the woodwork for those meets..one year there must have been 40 or so..some years lots...
i just lay down newspapers in the van..set up cages in there to go..it has plywood painted floor as its construction van..but i have seen some pretty fancy haulers out there..jan brett has one of the nicest chicken hauling rigs i have ever seen..think its a horse trailer tricked out for show...
note the rosemary on the cooked one..you would have to top that car with the chicken hauler that your pulling..not sure if you could one up that cooked chicken car with any hauler.
nope Allen..wash and go..not a stub anywhere to be found on Vickies buffs..that was the easiest time i have ever had getting ready to show..just wash and go..little or no fuss..i did overlook a few tiny things may or may not have cost me a bigger award..we live, we learn..in still amature..:D...
when i get some hatched out of that typy male Allen..come up and see them....one of the females is pretty nice, really big girl..nice build but she wants to yellow a bit..no stubbs..wondering if that could be sex linked as only males had stubbs.. the very typy male had very few..up high on...
I love it that these shows are giving people these nice ribbons, everyone works all year long, inspections and fuss for the shows and what a treat to see thier hard work rewarded with a great award like that..Keep up the great work..you will have many more like it..Hes a nice rooster..
