    I keep the food in the coop away from other birds. The water stays outside. A 5 gallon bucket. It's all about convenience in caring.

    nipple waterers and winter time...what do you do?

    I used a 5 gallon bucket with horizontal spring loaded nipples. Over the winter I used a bird bath heater with a built in thermostat. Worked great. Here's a pic of the bucket. PM me if you're interested in the nipples, bucket or both. I can build one for you.
