I don't claim to be an expert at small-scale egg production, but I am doing some research on the subject with plans to increase our own production with the intent of selling more eggs to others.
I would like to discuss here the methods you've used increased the production of your hens either...
So I recently discover the Chicken genetics calculator and after stumbling around this guys site when I stumbled onto this page

Can someone tell me what color is the F2 generation of his cross? Also, is this an established color in another breed...
Hey we just processed some Cornish cross and the last three had these patches on them.
We didn't save any but I was curious what you all thought this is?
In a cage that is 24"x36" what size of rabbit should be in a cage that size?
I am looking at Rex, Satin, or English Spots.
Any help would be appreciative. Thanks.
Ok y'all I'm on a search for my perfect chicken breed and I'm not sure it exists. I'm hoping that I can get help from multiple threads here.
Here is what I'm looking for:
Multicolored (something like an Icelandic)
Meat build (8-10lbs)
200-250 eggs per year
Any thoughts?
I think a couple of my chickens have scaly mites or possibly dry skin. Either way I've decided to go the Vaseline treatment method. I have a question about this. Will the Vaseline method be dangerous in the cold weather? Thanks for your help.
