New hens not getting along with others

I do let all the girls free range during the day to help them get more accustomed to each other. They all get along during that time, it's just when they get inside do they get pecked on. My original girls are younger as well so from research could be a big part as well. There's not been any...

New hens not getting along with others

Hey guys so last week I got some new hens. A black rock and a blue bantam cochin. Well these two are not letting my silver laced roost on the bars and they are forced to lay in the nesting boxes. Any idea what I can do?

Looking for a simple coop made from plywood.

Very creative! I have no scraps and no access to pallets either :(.

Looking for a simple coop made from plywood.

We're not as humid in the summers but our winters can get into the single digit negatives at times.

Looking for a simple coop made from plywood.

I like it! But what about during the winter? I'm in Idaho so the summers are scorching hot and the winters are extraordinarily cold!

Looking for a simple coop made from plywood.

I would cut out a couple Windows on that plan. I forgot to mention that my chickens free range everyday from 6am til 9pm so I'm not going to keep them inside there, it's just a safe house for them at night. I will look into a garden shed. I currently have one but it's used for all my yard work...

Looking for a simple coop made from plywood.

Hey guys, I want to make a simple coop out of plywood and 2x2 or 2x4s. I'm looking for a minimalist coop, no built in run or nesting boxes (maybe I'll add later). I'm just not the best at DIY. I just a nice place for 4+ hens to roost in at night. I really like the idea of this coop but don't...

Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or Cockerel? Click Here! Thread 2

Awesome, because as you can tell there's one that's got a lot more white than the other so I didn't know if that was one of the signs of a certain sex like barred rocks.

Okay now that I found out my barred rocks were cockerels instead, I am now second guessing my so called "pullet" silver lace wyandottes. What do you guys think?

Neither have laid any eggs and they are like 16 weeks I believe. My silver laced haven't laid any eggs either. Maybe someone else can chime in on these two because from my research, the barred rock cockerels are light in color.

Here's a couple more photos of the culprit that was crowing this morning (We usually leave to work before sun up), I was able to upload them via my laptop. Here's both in the same pic, they look identical.
