Chicken's are crazy and almost NEVER follow breed stereotypes but I can say I've had a lot of fun with my Rhode Isalnd Red hens and they've always veen one of my favorite breeds. Idk if buying for the breed with chickens is quite accurate though and it just depends of the chicken.

Hello other chicken-lovers! I have a a foster chicken who is in need of help. She cannot stand and we belive it is majorly the right leg. She has a very weak muscle on both legs under the feathered part of her limb. She is eating well and we are packing her water with electrolytes and vitamins...

Also, I agree the neighbor would have to be close to be able to hear a quails' crow from inside a shed.

This issue is kind of dependant on your quail, and how close your neighbors are. It may sound weird but try claiming herbs like lavender and mint it might make them a little less awake at those early hours. You can also try putting some sort of sound proofing un your shed.

So you know this forum is still open and I'm still figuring out how to have chickens/get them over there safely.
