I either use that, or maple syrup.
Mule day was last Saturday over in cavalry, but their syrup tastes different, they don't cook it the same way.
Most pancake syrup has high fructose corn syrup as the first or second ingredient.
not to far away from me, I'm in Ochlocknee, just above Thomasville.
we have old south day Saturday, need to restock my cane syrup . They have a big old fashioned crusher and cooker making it fresh, you get it still hot
I have a trio, birchen rooster and hen, plus abrown red (gold birchen) hen. No eggs right now though, they are molting.
As are most of they birds. I've made so many cakes these past two weeks, I've had to buy eggs. And I've got about 6 dozen cupcakes to do this weekend.
if any of them have single combs, they will most likely lay brown. It's hard to say until they start laying, but if they have a pea comb, you have a good chance of getting some shade of blue/green.
I have a purebred Ameraucana rooster over my EE hens, so all of my chicks should lay blue/green...
rooster! At 3-4 months old, the boys well start growing in the pointed metallic saddle (back) and hackle (neck) feathers Also, there's a rooster behind him in the first pic
I'm almost down to 0, I think everyone's starting to molt. Lots of feathers on the ground, have to count chickens to make sure I don't have one missing. Looks like a chicken exploded in one of my pens, lol.
I personally don't call them EEs unless they lay green/blue/olive eggs. Most of mine are from Ameraucana parentage, so most of them have beards, pea combs, and blue/slate legs.
I have a Leghorn/ee that lays huge pale blue eggs, 2 blue jersey giant/EEs that lay olive eggs, a dark Cornish/EE that...
those are definitely not Easter Eggers or Ameraucanas. They look like they have some Leghorn in them. They may be Tetratints, it's a special TSC hybrid. What color is the egg?
looks like a black Sexlink. They can have varying amounts of black and gold, they usually just have gold on their neck and chest. But, I have seen some pictures of one's that where almost all gold. I used to hatch out solid black hens when I had a Dominique in my mottled Ancona pen. It depends...
