I'm so glad they are doing better! It's great you can spend time with them like that. My guys have always been kind of flighty but they will come up to get treats and peck at my fingers now. :):)

We've been feeding our ducks rose petals too with no ill effects. The roses are organic however with no sprays of any kind. Our whole yard is organic for that matter so we don't have to worry about poisoning the duckies or ourselves. :)

My ducks have the usual favorites--peas and lettuce. But they seem to eat just about anything when you toss it in their pool--watermelon, cucumbers, celery, seed pods from grass and leaves off the plum tree so far! :D
