It is a Salmon Faverolles chick.
Thanks guys! They are just so fluffy when they hatch. Faverolles are funny chicks. They are spastic, but calm down to be such nice adults.
Hope you all don't mind, i want to share some pictures from my recent hatch!

Bourbon red poults
And some super fluff balls - salmon faverolles chicks
I use a Brinsea Ova easy 380 advance cabinet incubator to do the incubating, I move eggs into my Styrofoam hovaBator Genesis to hat h. It keeps the incubator clean. I keep debating if I want to get a new hatcher, but my system works just fine. At the very least I need to get a new genesis or...
I am sure you are right. The only thing that that made me question what it was was all but one body was squished, guts left laying. Only one chick was visible eaten. In all my past experiences with coon, they will eat the guts (or just the head) and leave the rest, not just squish the whole lot...
I have been just miserable all day.
A critter climbed in my shed window (that I forgot to close) and killed my entire brooder of chicks. Not just a few... all 41.i woke up to find 41 dead chicks, or what was left of them. It was just freaking horrible to clean up. The only silver lining is my...
Awww I am so sorry! I remember when my youngest was 2 and I kept my incubator in my closest. He got into it one day and threw three large fowl cochin eggs on the ground the day before they were to hatch. I was so upset, but he didn't know better so it was hard to be mad.
@mlm Mike
My official total was 42 hatched.
I sadly had one that gutted itself over night (herniated) which was really bad, bu the other 41 are doing just fine. Completely rambunctious and trying their best to go for a world record of how much feed they consume.
I had 41 chicks hatch last night. I have two more eggs in the bator with pips, but they aren't making much progress.
So my count as of now :
41 total
23 faverolles
17 welsummers (9 females 8 male)
Yes, you can. Cockerels will have much shorter wing feathers than the pullets. The pullets feather in their wing feathers quicker, and earlier than the cockerels. The color of the lower wing feathers will also be different colors. However, this will depend on quality of stock.
Just candled the HAL eggs and pulled two (1 clear, one death) out of my 48. Took a look at the bunch of turkey eggs I sat at the same time and they are looking good too. I plan on setting a bunch of turkey eggs next week, and was hoping to get some coturnix in the incubator by now, but I think...
