yey for sultan roos!! i have yet to know of anyone who has sultans around here... Coco has given me 3 beautiful eggs the past 5 days, despite the frigid temperatures - I love her!

My pullet has a small, red V-shaped comb but it's much smaller than a male's would be. You have to push back her headdress to see it though

Still waiting to see an egg from Coco Chanel... the breeder said she was 6 months old and already laying, she's been here 11 days now and still no eggs I heard they were like silkie eggs, small and white... about 80 a year. Poultry Master, thems some AWESOME sultans! wow!

Gosh are they ever gorgeous! I have one of those water cannisters in the main coop and the birds still get their wattles wet - I have messy drinkers! In a month or so my sultan pullet Coco will join the main flock and then hopefully the "wet head" issue will go away...

Any suggestions? I have no idea what one of those would look like... supplies are pretty limited at the local co-op

I would gladly rehome Coco to someone who had a sultan roo to keep her company, she seems so lonely and out of place here... Not sure I did the right thing by bringing her home, well OK she was living in a tiny box so her life is definitely better here but still. Hope she eventually gets used...
