Hello!
First time having a Buff Brahma. Can anyone offer any insight as to whether Kiwi is a boy or girl? About 9 weeks old, give or take a couple days. Thanks!
We finally found Buff Brahmas at our local TSC(Hoover's) and got four "premium pullets" (yes yes there's a reason it's in quotes lol)
We brought them home March 2nd (with an Easter Egger)
They are housed with four rowdy olive eggers who are a week older lol I swear they think they are song...
Hi there,
I have new chicks and have a few questions on 2 of them. #1- bought from Russell feed and was told it is a buff brahma (about 3 weeks old). #2- bought from tractor supply from the assorted bantam bin (about a week old).
Does #1 look like a Buff Brahma? I don’t see any feather on...
We got more chicks! Yay! But in the process I've been grounded from getting more. Lol. Actually I've been told I'm not allowed to go to TSC anymore lol
We have 6 egger eggs(one did) under a broody and 9 chicks inside plus our 23 outside. (One is a rooster that needs a new home lol from our...
Hello BYC, thought I'd finally drop in and say "hello".
1. Yes, I'm new to raising chickens (got our first flock members in March of 2022), but old to raising chickens since my family & I did when I was a kid like 20 years ago.
2. We (husband & I) have 20 chickens right now. 2 roosters & 18...
So my family and I are new to chicken and I adore them but I know too many Roos is a no no soooo I need some help sexing them ! They 2 days old Sept 3 2023. Any help is so incredibly appreciated!!!!
These are RK pullets… or are supposed to be 😂 they were sold as buff Brahma pullets and they all looked the same when I got them but now that they’re feathered there’s obvious differences. Are they still all considered buff Brahma? Also, is the one with the red comb a roo?
I currently have 3 Brahma Roosters (2 dark 1 buff) that I am looking to rehome from my group that are going on 15 weeks old. They have been pretty good around each other except the dark ones kinda worked together keeping the buff one at the bottom of the pecking order, pecking his rear big...
I have 3 buff brahmas and I am noticing they all look so similar except one has super red wattles and comb, her comb looks bigger than the others as well? She is 16 weeks is she a pullet maturing faster or is she actually a he? She is far more dominant and definitely the dominant hen of the coop...
This one is about 6 weeks old. Buff Brahma Bantam. Any ideas on sex? I have one already that is for sure a pullet. This one just has a darker comb and wattles coming in. Thanks in advance :)
I’ve never owned brahmas so if this sounds like a dumb question I’m sorry 😂 3 of 4 of my little brahmas (the other was hiding) what do you think buff, light or dark? The 4th is similar to the first a little grayer!
Curious to see how your chicks grew to look! Currently raising EE and Brahmas! Excited to see all the different colors and looks! Please post your chicks to adults! 🐥
I’ve been hanging onto hope that Becky is a she, but just noticed orange pointy saddle feathers. Bought from a breeder at approx 12 weeks and assured it was a pullet. Thanks in advance!
Hi, I've got a brahma chick who seems to be a bit sick, I'll list the symptoms below
Heavier breathing than the others
Slight clicking sound when breathing
Partially opens beak when inhaling
Randomly moving its beak like it's chewing on something
Lethargic, but still slowly walks around...
