I’ve never had an issue identifying D’Uccles before, but this group of four is stumping me. They’re hatchery birds, so maybe that’s why!
Any guesses?

Hello chicken people!
It’s too early to tell for sure, but take your guesses! Is my six week old porcelain duccle a hen or a roo?
(pictured next to our six week old bantam cochin roo)
I breed Millie Fleur D’uccles from decent lines that have previously been shown and I have had a decent hatch rate. I currently am out of room in my incubator and get an egg every other day and am trying to figure out pricing for a dozen hatching eggs. What would you say is the right price or...
I know they are very young still approx 3 weeks old but I noticed 2 are noticeably larger than the other 3. Has anyone that raised these before noticed that the larger ones were roosters ? I’m hoping to have 2 roosters anyways so it won’t be a bad thing! The tail also looks bigger already .
My Belgian d'Uccle, Chewy, has started exhibiting different behavior. On the weekend, she developed diarrhea, which she has had before, but this time seems more persistent. Her poops alternate between watery and full of discharge, very runny, and sort of well formed (see photos).
She still...
if I crossed a mille fleur to a porcelain will all the chicks be split to porcelain?
Also how long does it take for a duccle bantam to fertilize a hen, basically how many seconds does a roo have to be on a hen in order for her to start laying eggs.
I’m trying to find a breeder in florida as close as possible to Sarasota! I’ll be passing through Miami from the keys this weekend though so willing to travel too!
Hi all,
Okay so I know it’s too early to know for sure buuuut I have a couple of Belgian D’uccle chicks that my broody hen has been raising . I bought them as day old sexed chicks from a very reputable breeder that I’ve purchased multiple chicks from in the past and the sexing had been 100%...
Hello! I have a few extra 5 day old D'Uccle mix hatching eggs. Most are likely D'Uccle x Serama. I will also happily hatch them for you.
Please respond here or PM me if interested. Have a wonderful day!
Hello! We recently started raising chicks. The first batch is a happy, healthy group of four, still super friendly and cuddly at 12 weeks old. The second batch is a group of nine and although they seem to be thriving so far, I have a few concerns.
Firstly, the Spitzhauben chick seems to be...
Hi everyone! I have 4 SR bantam d'uccles from Ideal that are now ~3 weeks old. I know it's still early (I'll keep posting weekly, as week-by-week threads from others have been SO helpful/interesting), but I'd love to start getting some input on what sexual traits my chickies may be exhibiting...

I need help. I've tried everything I know. I went out to my coop Monday and noticed my little duccle's feet were bleeding and my silkies were pecking her feet. I've got the redness/bleeding and sores to go away but the second I put her back in the coop they are pecking her feet where her...
Hi there,
I'm on high alert for pasty butt and my little porcelain d'uccle has the messiest bottom of the bunch. Her vent also sticks out a bit. I don't want to keep rubbing (gently with warm paper towels) or stressing her out more than I need to. This was after cutting some fuzz and applying a...
Yall......I have 9 straight run bantams that I have been DNA testing a few at a time. (Because I'm impatient and don't want to wait until they grow up😅) and all the results are in!!!!
Drum roll please...............................8 are female!!!😯😯 I'm thrilled since I already have a silkie and...
I have three porcelain D'uccle chicks and I cant for the life of me tell whos a roo or hen. All three are 8 weeks old. when they first started feathering I thought the first two (pink, blue) were hens and the last one (orange) was a roo but the older they get the harder it is to tell.
Hi all,
In September, I got 3 bantams from a neighboring farm, two hens and 1 roo. This is my first time having a rooster, and I chose this breed because my neighbor has the same kind and he’s very friendly. They are all 1 year old but have grown up free ranging and I’m guessing not handled a...
I was looking for D’Uccles and grabbed two that were self blue. These other two one is more golden and other is lighter. Was looking for cheeks! But think the lighter one is a Cochin. Any hints?
