Hey all, I have two beautiful drakes that need a new loving home. I have two too many drakes and my girls are getting worn out. I am located in Bothell, Washington, and will bring them to you (Locally). Thank you!

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I am relatively new to raising chickens though my best friend has had them for over thirty years so I feel like I've learned a lot in the past six months or so that I've been raising them. All of my birds have been raised from 2-3...
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
-I actually have had chickens before, but originally found this site because I got ducklings and there was a lot of helpful stuff here so I thought I’d join!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
-2 ducklings
(3) What...
Good morning all! It's been a while since I have posted anything on here. Wanted to write a little update.
We've had our ducks since April now. They are a bonded pair, if my kid's hadn't named them Salt&Pepper it eould definitely be Bonnie and Clyde. They are mischievous and so curious. But...
Not important question - curiosity is the motivator here: my Swedish Blue ducks have some green that comes out in sunlight in the feathers on their head. Does this imply some Cayuga in their family history..? Or do all ducks with dark feathers have this very beautiful coloration?
I have one Rouen and two Swedish Blue ducks, about 6 weeks old. I give them a bowl (about 5 ounces) of starter feed, another bowl of lettuce in water, and a bowl of cooked oatmeal in water (also about 5 ounces) TWICE a day, plus a few handfuls of meal worms. They devour everything in minutes...
Help!
A bit of back story -
We tried to hatch six Minature Silver Appleyards, we unfortunately only hatched one little duck which meant a quick panic trip to a local farm to buy some more ducklings to keep the little one company (who was only happy when being played youtube videos of other...
I have a broody Swedish Blue that is starting to make a nest outside of the coop. What have others done in this situation? Can I move the nest? Should it be totally separate from the other ducks?
Our coop isn't terribly large but I could easily build another mini coop just for her. Right now...
So I raised the Swedish Blue and ended up giving him away to my grandmothers friend who had the land for them at the time. But now that I have the land and I was talking about getting some ducks, shr told my grandmother that she would let me bring “Roan” and his/her friend home who happens to be...
If a duck is a cross and you know what the two breeds it's parent are, can you estimate how many eggs it will be able to lay a year? The parents are a male swedish blue and a female cayuga. Cayuga can lay between 100-150 eggs a year and swedish blues can lay between 100-180. Based off of this...
I just wanted to make sure my two 2 week old ducklings were doing good so far. They are a blue Swedish and black cayuga. They are sort of losing their down? Some parts will be off just floating around? Is that anything to worry? There isn't much. Here are some pics: please ignore the poop:sick
Hello duck gurus! I'm hoping for some sage advice. We have a mixed flock of two year-old Pekins (one female Daphne, one male Peep) and two 3-month female Swedish Blues (Puddles and Stormy). Peep the male Pekin has had a bit of a cough kinda like he's trying to clear his throat for 3-4 days...
So I have two Swedish ducks. One is a blue Swedish with black bill which everything i read when i first got it was that black bills are female. The other one was bought as an adult and i was told it is a male. has the orangish bill which everything i read said male.
The thing is the orange...
Hello all I am new to the site. Figured I would tell my luck on raising ducks.
About three years ago, my wife and I got 2 Peking ducks to raise (she has raised ducks prior, me never). We had a success with them and let them free range in our backyard, one night something dug under the...
I'm adding to my flock to balance out the male/female ratio. I currently have 2 pekin females and 2 cayuga males. Looking to keep things quiet since I live within city limits. Which would be quieter, cayuga or swedish blue?
Hello!
If I could have looked into my future 10 years ago into today I would be shocked. I was a city girl, raised in Chicago IL for most my life. After we transitioned to the far suburbs, we wanted something larger with no association rules so we moved to a 5 acre horse farm. Well we don't...
I'm looking for opinions on adding to my flock. I have 4 9-week-old ducks, 2 pekin and 2 cayuga. I believe the 2 pekin are both female, based on voice sexing, but the 2 cayugas have been so quiet comparatively, I am starting to think neither of them will be female. I was hoping for 3 female and...
