@Texas Kiki....i texted a message to your phone......AND in addition to the discovery of the finch babies tonight, we also bred the rabbits! soooo if all went well, I will have baby bunnies by Thanksgiving!!!

I watched the whole thing and I learned a few things.

DH just twists and pulls (with quail) heads pop off pretty easily for him....I haven’t gotten to the point of trying it yet with butchering adults, but i have done it culling chicks.

I generally decapitate with pipe cutters, but I've pulled off their heads by accident when attempting CD. Their musculature is super delicate compared to chickens.
