1"x1" welded wire VS Raccoons/coyotes/foxes/cats

I use a combo of welded wire (also some 2x4 no climb fence, which is even stronger) and hardware cloth. You should be set with both.

Our coop's lower section is double wired. Both the top and bottom has the hardy cloth. Then we used 2" x 4" fencing wire over the hardy cloth on the bottom sections.

It gives the extra piece of mind in keeping them safe.

Your duck house looks really cute in your first pic. Are you going to paint the house part too?

Boo Bear - Well, it is already painted. My girls and I voted on all colors for the house. They liked the light blue/gray color, white, and lime green.

1/4" "hardware cloth" instead of the welded wire you have would solve your problem.

Which gauge hardware cloth?
