Candled again and out of 21 eggs, we have 1 non-starter and 2 questionable. All the others seem to be developing well. Yay!

I candled eggs from my broody earlier, and it looks like all are developing!

I have too, building more grow-out pens and 2 tractors for my meat brids. Since Feb 8th I have 33 chicks and 30 eggs in the incubators.

But mine are being raised in an apartment. Very limited on how many I can keep. LOL Guess I will have to put an ad on Craiglist. LOL

I have 24 ameraucanas hatching the 28th of march and 36 easter eggers hatching easter sunday

I would not give her the incubator eggs if she is a first time broody. Sometimes if the eggs hatch in less than 3 weeks a first time broody will not be mentally ready for the chicks and she can get confused. I had this happen with a hen who basically squashed the chicks as if she were trying to put them back in the eggs. Right now I am in the same situation as you; eggs in the incubator on day 10 & my hen just went broody! I am planning to give the broody different eggs to hatch. That way I get even more chicks! Good luck with your hatch.

So guys i saw this in two eggs, this is blood ring right? This is on one egg from fridge and one eggs with crack other 10 doing fine ! This picture i post is not my i find same one online beacuse i cant take photos beacuse i candle them with my cell phone

Yeah, thats about right. Although In that photo I do see something in the middle, so there won't be anything in the middle when it's a quitter

Boy oh boy my eggs better arrive today. The last day to set for quailies.
This is good though because Muddy's are going to hatch one day early so I can see what colors I'm going to be getting.
