April 2022 hatch-a-long (non-Easter, and Easter welcome)

27 moved to the brooder house. My next hatching May 3rd. Which is a good thing as I need to move youngsters out of the brooder house and into growout pens.

Mine are out of the house, but in a store room connected to my carport. (lights and heater, but I don't need the heater. I have a large box longer than a fridge. 3/2 week olds in one section, 1+ week old in the other. A screen separating.

Here's my babies that hatched! All six eggs hatched which I'm super happy about!

Me too! She is one expensive little chick! I made up for it by buying 10+ d’Anver hatching eggs for really cheap! And the lady sent a total of 18!! I thought she’d throw in 2 extra maybe? So they ended up even cheaper. And the main rooster the eggs came from won BIV at a poultry show in February so they’re nice quality too I’m thinking! Sooo I’m gonna be in the HAL for May too

I just moved my chicks to an outdoor brooder. They are combined. My local store sells eggs from a Hispanic family, they have all diff colors, I kept the eggs that looked more gray, but in the light they look light green. Oh well, I did have luck with these before. Due May 18th?

I should have grabbed blue-blue ones too, oh well.
