I'd bet that all of the hatcheries are doing their utmost. Getting AI would be devastating for them, as a business.I hope McMurray has good bio security.

Agree, I feel more comfortable buying from a hatchery vs the feed store. Anyone could track germs in when they go to work, etc and a hatchery has strict bio security protocols to pass inspectionI'd bet that all of the hatcheries are doing their utmost. Yes, no disrespect to the feed store getting the birds from the hatchery - its the customers that concern me. and, ok, I admit it, some of the employees. But mostly, its the customers.Agree, I feel more comfortable buying from a hatchery vs the feed store. Your theory makes perfect sense if the intent in designating backyard flocks as "non-poultry" is to prevent exported poultry and eggs from being banned from import by other countries.I've been thinking on the wording of poultry since this HPAI was confirmed in the USA. I agree that it's really strange, but I'm thinking it has something to do with our language and exports. They want to separate the two in full in hopes of covering their booties, in my opinion. The English language can be really confusing and I think that has everything to do with it. Maybe not, but it's my theory
wild birdsDoes anyone remember what page has the site and all the states with confirmed cases? I'm nervous that its at my doorstep now after seeing a few threads
