So two backyard flocks in southern Michigan testing with AI this month, one near me in Ingham county! Bah! Humbug! Our birds are locked in again...
No 'conspiracies' here, just sad news, and not unexpected, with fall migrations going on.

Too close! I was hoping we would have at least a few more weeks. Geese in Virginia Beach a few weeks ago. I wish they said what part of the city - they aren't on the USDA list. https://vpm.org/news/articles/36081...ng-in-virginia-killing-geese-in-hampton-roads

The article mentions, "Some deaths coincided with a sewage spill in Norfolk’s Knitting Mill Creek, which was determined to be unrelated."
It was probably near there.

There was also a backyard flock in Caroline Co, Va in early September.

I still feel like if I want to keep up with what's going on with this I have to actively seek out information. 😟

I just want this to go away. 😞
Me too. I am sure we all do.
The geese are flying South most days now. I haven’t locked my flock up yet but wonder if I should. It is just hard to know what to do for the best - they are so much happier out and about.
