I'm a librarian so books are what I do professionally. I thought we might have fun with a book club on here. I would encourage all of you to go to your local public library. I will post each new reading challenge before the beginning of the month. I'll vary how and what we read. Sometimes it will be a title; other times it may be different. It's just for fun! I want you to have a month to read and discuss the book(s).

For April: Read any "Banned Classic Book".

Feel free to pm me for a recommendation or visit the link above.
Research why and when it was banned. Do you agree? Disagree

I'm reading Catcher in the Rye for school right now. I guess I can see why it was banned. "“excess vulgar language, sexual scenes, things concerning moral issues, excessive violence and anything dealing with the occult” and “communism,” among other things" I definitely have not encountered anything dealing with the occult or communism yet though, lol. https://simmonsvoice.com/8495/2017-...ciation states, communism,” among other things.

Anyway, I finished reading the book. Yeah, it was really good!
I really loved Phoebe. She reminded me a lot of me when I was younger with her big desk that she puts sentimental junk in and her many many notebooks, and her stories she never finishes.
I still have tons of notebooks from when I was younger.

I’ve read over half of my book—Gulliver’s Travels. I’m really surprised by some of the content especially since it was published in 1726. It’s sparked some weird controversy according to my research—Some folks thought it would interfere with potting training! Others thought it was just obscene.
