I had 5 9 week old chicks of various breeds. one died last week, I got them about a week and a half ago from a breeder. Since we have had them they have had diarrhea that is VERY watery. They are being fed chick starter (unmedicated), not sure what they were given before we picked them up.
After realizing that it probably wasn’t stress, I was thinking it may be coccidiosis. They are on day 5 of a “severe” dose of Corid, with no real improvement.
I am starting to wonder if it may be worms? I don’t see anything in their poop as it is mostly water and soaks right in to the shavings. I got safeguard but didn’t give it to them yet as I saw that it could affect their feathers. They are currently growing feathers back out from their molt. HELP! Any ideas?
