Chick has spraddled leg, now it is swollen.

I've tried splinting the leg with cloth tape but I can't get it to stay in the right position? Any other suggestions? Is there anything else I should try?

I experienced this just this past spring. We tried hobbles for a couple of days but things got worse. The leg was completely dislocated. Was unable to relocate manually. Took to Avian vet for surgery. Unfortunately they had to amputate because the tissues were no longer viable. After all that and $159 - hop along is a rooster. I would advise you not to wait if you are going to treat.
