Chickens and other Birds?

Hello,

This may be a stupid question but I have to ask. I’m building a nice new coop for our hens. You can follow the build here.

I was wondering if anyone keeps other pet birds inside the chicken run? Like a dove or love bird or something similar?

i have tried a few different scenarios but found that in general, it’s not a good idea to mix other birds with chickens. I did build a smaller aviary inside my large one, however, that does house budgies and zebra finches. I cannot have any other birds in there because the budgies will bully and/or kill them. If you add a lovebird or dove to a chicken run, it would need to have its own contained space (caging) or you would risk escape on a daily basis among other issues.

Has anyone else had any experience keeping any other birds in a chicken coop/run. I just got done building one and was thinking about trying it.
