I have some chicks and found that some of them have chicken lice, what can I do to stop spread and help get rid of the ones on the chicks I feel so bad for them tried looking online can’t really find a answer all I get is for older chickens thanks!

How old are the chicks? Are they being raised by a broody hen? How many chickens do you have in your coop? Permethrin garden dust found in most feed stores is good for lice. Treat the hen and chicks. Applying the dust to an old sock and dusting the skin is a good method. But old bedding should be removed from the nests, coop, and brooding area. Lice hatch out every 10 days, so you will need to retreat them in 10 days to get the new ones that hatch, since the dust will kill live lice but not the eggs. Recheck them often for signs of lice.

They are a 2 weeks old I have them in the house I got them from the store and seen them today, I don’t want to lose my chicks and will do anything in my power to help them
