There is a similar round cookie called wedding cookies or something? Anyone know what I’m talking about?

The snowballs and the Mexican wedding cookies are the same thing, just different names (at least according to my Betty Crocker cook book and mom's snowball recipe).

Just came inside after being out messing with the flock, driving the trash to the big dumpster, etc. My face is frozen...I think a big mug of coffee might help thaw things out. Anyone else care for a cup? Or some hot tea?

No exciting pictures yet. 4 Silkies are pipped now and Salmon Faverolles should start in the other incubator in a day or two. Hatch day is actually tomorrow so these bitties are pipped early.

Thanks. Whenever I’ve tried the wedding ones they have been lighter. Grandma’s seem denser to me. I need to compare the recipes. Could be the shape that changes it. So now we all have to make both and compare.

My Mom has the original recipe card, you almost can't read it anymore it's so faded but she hand wrote a card for me to keep so it felt more authentic as we pass it down.

It sure does to me! I missed where you said you got the recipe? Was it an old family recipe for you too?

My grandmother published it in a North Dakota cookbook during the depression.
