Challah bread is a Jewish thing. My grandmother made wonderful loaves of it, my mother never bothered. Grandma always made a braid at the top. It was so good!

I bake bread but always have to do double loaves---one to rip into during the day and one for dinner! the family has bread sonar! I like going to the bakery once in a while---can't make good bagels at home---they are ok, but not the same. And sometimes a Challah loaf jumps into the bag...

The little grocery "fairy" just had to put it in your basket.
