Cup o' Joe and Tea Too

Good morning! Thanks for the coffee, George.

Awful, just awful, Karen. I cannot imagine what you are going through. I wish they could do something for you. I only had it for about a week or 10 days, and it was on my leg, a much tougher area. But it was definitely painful and uncomfortable. I would slather copious amounts of Vaseline on it which seemed to help a little. The Valtrex worked for me. Wonder why it's not working for you??? That makes no sense to me.

I feel so bad for you!!! :hugs 🙏

The pain has subsided some this morning.

Maybe it has finally run its course, I certainly hope so.

I think when this is over, you and I should seriously consider the shingles vaccine. I read that we can get a recurrence of this!!! 😲 You would think having them would create the antibodies, but it's a different type of virus that stays in the system, I guess, in a dormant condition.

Interestingly enough, I have very itchy areas, even this two years later, where I had shingles on my leg. I can't find anything written that connects those two things but odd that it is in the same place

I don't even get flu shots, well, I did once. I never get the flu, but the shot made me feel like I had it, so I never did it again. That was years ago. But, I might rethink the shingles shot having watched the pain and discomfort you've been through. 🤔

Good morning one and all!

Tea is ready.

Temperature is in the 60s mostly clear.

Have a great day!

I will be talking with my doctor about the shingles vaccine.

I don't take the vaccines for flu, pneumonia, or covid.
