Day 23 with broody

I left them alone until this morning - that chick hatched! Definitely 2 chicks under there but they were understandably shifting to stay hidden under mama. One egg left! No signs of a pip, didn’t hear or feel movement like I did yesterday’s egg. I did candle it and it was completely dark except for the air bubble… hoping that’s a good sign?

Sadly, it did not, and mama decided it was time to move on. However, she hatched two beautiful little ones and I am so proud of her!
