I took these last month when Coho was being a broody. But she wasn't brooding anything-- I guess that some hens will just be broody to be broody!





Coho, the broody queen. Though she has no chicks or eggs to brood, if you even come near them, she will cut you.

In the first pic she does look like a queen of old, the pics you see with the starched ruffles around their neck.... ;)
 
Lol....I have two girls who had been broody for about a month. I got 4 silkie babies from a friend. If you thought broodies fluffed up, you should see them as momma's! They fluff up to be almost turkey sized I swear! They are being very protective of their tiny silkie babies!
