Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

Here is some pics of my EE Roo for reference also.
The dates on the pics is correct, so that lets you know his age. I knew since about 4 weeks, his comb went red and he always had better posture than the other (keep his tail high). He crowed for the first time at about 8 weeks.

Okay, I wasn't able to get very good pics of the comb, since 1) I couldn't find my new batteries and 2) I was in a hurry because it was starting to rain. BUT I did get a really good pic of the OTHER white EE's comb and can see the contrast between the two of them. I have been 99% certain OtherWhiteEE was a boy since he was about 3 weeks old and was really hoping that this one was a girl because I can't keep two EE roos. I also got a great pic of my young roo that I believe is my hatchery Welsumer--I had too many chipmunk chicks this spring and couldn't keep track of the Campines, EEs, and Welsumers (but I think I sorted them all right by their legs). So, why is it you can only get good pics of the ones you DON'T need pictures of? Anyway, I'm at the point where I think that the one in question is a girl, the other white one is a boy, and

And its posture (you can see the roo behind):

And the Welsumer (?) Roo, just because I can:

I have a EE that looks alot like the red you have with the gray head, I thought it was a roo because of the red in the wings I will have to get a better picture but here s/he is

as a baby and at 6 weeks

I have some classic colors of roos and pullets out in my shed right now. lol. I'll run out and try to get good pics with my phone to upload. I have 3 that have been black, brown and white partridge looking, 1 black and white, and one that is orange with black and white. The black/brown/white ones were very hard until recently. Both boys suddenly sprouted rusty red feathers in their wings, and one sprouted that pretty black/green/blue depending on the angle coloring on his back between his wings. It looks like it's going to be beautiful lacing when he's older.

And some bonus pics of my EE rooster Clyde. I think he is an olive egger, my friend hatched him from a blue egg, but he has feathered legs and a straight comb. Look at that pretty black lacing. That's what I think one of my baby boys has growing.

Yes it's a very pretty mahogany color though I think this photo looks very dark and reddish compared to usual, I think the 2 red heat lamps made the color look brighter. s/he is a very pretty bird actually my favorite next to the EE I know is a rooster he crows.............LOL

I have looked at every single one of these pictures, and I do believe that I might be one step closer to being able to figure these out! Thanks y'all!

Mama, beautiful rooster!!

Thought I'd share pics of a few of mine, in case it helps anybody!

One of the rules about sexing EEs is that most times black and white=rooster. MOST (but not all) black and white EEs are roosters, but it's the color pattern that counts. Here's a black and white rooster...

And a black and white pullet... (see the difference?

Yes, I think I am beginning to see the difference, but I am very far from being able to describe the difference. The best I am going to be able to do, for now, is to say to my wife "that looks like the pattern on Lady Hawk" or "that looks like the pattern on Rusty". Over time, I think, we will gain a better frame of reference.
