We built this coop and put our chicks in a couple days ago when the weather was nice. Now it’s 93 degrees and not sure if it is enough for my chicks. Is this enough or do I need more? Any suggestions welcomed. TIA! All openings are HC. Still some minor work to do and want to be sure that when it’s 100% complete, it is complete!

Beautiful Coop & Run - It looks great to me - lots of ventilation. I'm assuming the enclosed roost area is ventilating thru the HC under the upper roof and there's no lid on the box that I see.

That looks GREAT!

You've got it in the shade too, right? It looks shady in the photos.

Happy chickens there for sure.
Thank you! Yes, it is in the shade with some sunny spots for winter. My hens are panting because it is sooo hot here in Jersey. I just hope they will be ok. I lock them in the hen house at night for now.

When it's really hot I use an old sheet/heavy cotton table cloth soaked with water- when breeze blows it cools the air - this only works when it's not very humid. You could also use misters (again only if not too humid).

Ice block in a pan of water helps if really super hot. You can make BIG ice cubes from 32 oz yogurt or cool whip size containers.
