Quail eggs sure are hard to crack open, tough inner membrane

The Fairfax county laws about poultry are ridiculous, and they're more neccesarry so they can take your chickens away if someone complains. I know plenty of people that have chickens here and they are just fine. I would certainly sign any petition though.

I know a few people who raise chickens in their backyards in Fairfax County without special permits, but I am leading an effort to bring chickens to my kids' independent school and worry about extra scrutiny. Any suggestions or knowledge of local laws?
