I'd just call it mixed color. Let me try to find what I consider blue buff

No, she barely has anything for a comb (she's about 6 months old?) except for that one little spike at the back. You may need to zoom in to actually see it.

The ones I'm getting are chicks, from Performance Poultry:

I'm also considering getting eggs from DC Heritage, which are in Clarendon not far from Shawville:

I'm glad I didn't order any of the Partridge ones from Performance, as I found out later they are technically a different breed altogether.

DC Heritage carries Buff and White.

My birds are from Rejean Girard near Granby Quebec. Breeds only White Chanteclers, 4 families, used to have heritage turkeys but stopped "could not do what I wanted to do with my Chanteclers", serious dude.

Granby is a bit far but I might consider travelling once I get my flock going. I chose the Buff because of predators in the area and White are so much more visible.

I envy you going to DC Heritage! They have so many breeds I'd love to have! I may bite the bullet next month, depending on finances and the state of my car. I want to be able to source different bloodlines.
