It's time for a flock update! The Rhode Island Red you see is my old hen Hailey, and the other White leghorn is.... @BY Bob This is for you! Daisy! She's only about 6 or 7 months old, that comb is so large! My other leghorns are to ( chicken) to go near my phone. Daisy is so calm and does not mind posing for her photo.

Daisy is a beauty and so is Hailey ❤️

Yea they havent been wormed yet
I do not worm unless there is proof of worms. Otherwise, if you use deformed too often worms actually develop resistance to them. If they were mine unless I knew they had worms I would not do anything.

Maggie is not having a great day today. Yesterday she was in quite good shape but today she is not moving.
Her poo is also green which is not a great sign.
I am honestly quite fearful for her.
I am giving her some heat even though it isn't really that cold and I don't think this is about her molt as she now has very few actually naked patches - she has a lot of pin feathers but mostly covered by at least a few full feathers.
😢
Time to see the vet?

Things have really kicked into gear with Blueberry's eggs this morning. Since Rosie got on the bus at 6:45 this morning she has went from 1 chick with 3 pipped to 4 chicks and 3 more external pips. There is only 1 egg that has not done anything yet. Once these last 3 finish hatching if there is still nothing going on I will check it. The chick I'm worried about is stronger since I last checked on it. It did take it over 24 hours to hatch from the first pip so it may just be tired.
That's positive. I hope to hear more good news as I catch up. :pop

Those above were the 'littles' from August.

Below: the brother to @RoyalChick 's girls., followed by poor momma hen. She is saying "Really, you are taking a picture of me when I just got done chasing the kids and my feathers (hair) is a mess? ( Evidently being a chicken mum is not much different than being a human mum. Only with Chickens, the kids never leave your coop! :lau )
